Many Aspen districts are using MyFlexLearning to manage their flex block and have found the implementation to be easy. There are a few simple steps for the technology team to complete, and the rest of the straightforward configuration is done by the school staff.
The MyFlexLearning team is composed of Aspen alumni, so we have created tools to make the Aspen integration straightforward for any Aspen district.
Your district technology team has a few tasks to complete:
Import Aspen User Role Bundle
We have created an Aspen User Role bundle that has pre-configured the permissions our team will need to support you in implementation. The district technology team just needs to import this bundle and the User Role will be created.
Create Aspen user account for MyFlexLearning
Once the User Role has been created, the district technology team will create an Aspen User Account for our team.
Import Aspen Bundle (imports & exports)
We have created imports and exports tools to securely share data between Aspen and MyFlexLearning. The district technology team can simply import these bundles for use.
Configure Aspen Aliases
In order to make the imports and exports to work for every district, we leverage the Aspen Alias functionality. We have clear documentation on what aliases need to be set in Aspen. Simply enter those, reload the Data Dictionary, and the imports and exports will be functional.
Configure Aspen Rooms
Schools can determine which Rooms should be shared with MyFlexLearning. A simple Yes/No indicator on the School Rooms list will determine which Rooms will be sent.
We have made this process as easy as possible. Since we all know Aspen well, we can support technology teams during this implementation. All of these tasks are done just once during implementation. Once Aspen and MyFlexLearning are integrated, the district technology team won’t need to actively support the integration.
