When our team created MyFlexLearning, we specifically wanted an interface that was easy to use. We’ve all sat through long software training sessions with multiple steps and scenarios to remember. We designed MyFlexLearning to be easy to learn, so that teachers spend their time teaching and supporting students, not fumbling around in a user manual.
There are four things a teacher needs to know to use MyFlexLearning:
- Take Attendance
- Schedule a Student
- Manage your Offerings
Login
MyFlexLearning uses Google authentication to allow teachers and students to login without having to set a new password. Users can use their school email accounts and quickly authenticate through Google right on the MyFlexLearning homepage.
MyFlexLearning also has the ability to create native accounts that are not Google authenticated. If your district doesn’t use Google authentication, we can also use other methods to make this a seamless process.
Take Attendance
Since flex block rosters change on a daily basis, taking attendance can be difficult without the right tools. With MyFlexLearning, teachers can easily access today’s roster from the homepage widget to take attendance.

Schedule a Student
One of the central benefits of a system like MyFlexLearning is being able to schedule students into various offerings based on their unique needs. We designed MyFlexLearning’s scheduling feature to enable teachers to quickly find offerings for their students and to make schedule changes.
As you can see from this video, teachers can quickly identify and schedule students into their flex block offerings.
Manage your Offerings
Some schools allow teachers to create or edit their flex block offerings. In this scenario, a teacher may create an offering specific to an upcoming test preparation, a targeted topic for intervention, or some kind of enrichment. Teachers can create the title of the offering and when and how frequently it will meet, among other settings.
Many schools decide to start their use of MyFlexLearning with the offerings created by the administrator, then a few months in, allow teachers to create their own offerings. This is a simple configuration change.
Teacher Training Options
As you can see from these videos linked above, MyFlexLearning is easy for teachers to learn. This intuitive interface allows our Teacher Training curriculum to be lightweight and straightforward to train.
Some districts choose to train their teachers using on-demand videos for teachers to learn these simple steps. Others use the videos in a group setting. Still others like the Train-the-Trainer model so that their lead users can train the teachers face-to-face. Regardless of which training model is used, the sessions are less than an hour to get the entire faculty up and running.
