At MyFlexlearning, we believe in the power of personalized learning and that student achievement will increase when schools create flexible learning time to meet individual student needs. Our mission is to provide flexible, intuitive scheduling tools for K-12 educators that also empowers students’ voice for their needs and interests, which increases equity, ownership and engagement.
Baiyun Tao is an extremely talented engineer and software architect who has built three scheduling systems to facilitate the building of Master Schedules from Elementary to Secondary schools in the United States, Great Britain and International schools all over the world. She worked with Miami-Dade Public Schools to create an elementary scheduler. She held the position of “Principal Architect” for one of the industries’ leading SIS systems for six years before founding Nash Consulting, LLC. In recent years, she has worked closely with many of the largest school districts in the United States and Canada to analyze schedules and provide solutions.
Stephen Rando has spent the better part of a nearly 20 year career in the K12 educational technology field working directly with schools of all types across the United States building master schedules. Stephen has worked with and helped design two different master scheduling tools and one flexible scheduling system, MyFlexLearning.
Stephen has been on the “front lines” and worked directly with teachers, district staff and technology staff within school districts to implement administrative educational technology software to help run school districts. During his 20 years working with schools and school districts, Stephen has become an expert in scheduling software for K-12 schools and has helped build schedules that positively impact schools. During his time as a co-founder of Nash Consulting, Stephen has led the design and implementation of MyFlexLearning as a flexible scheduling solution for K-12 schools
Sarah Wood has worked in education software implementations for the past twelve years, including a Student Information System, an ELL specialist platform and now MyFlexLearning. Sarah has worked directly with districts of varying size, including Boston Public School, Miami-Dade County Public Schools and the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA). Her background in management consulting drives her professionalism and project management rigor.
Jon Kelley has spent the majority of the past ten years designing and developing solutions for domestic and international school districts. He has led engineering teams delivering products to enterprise class customers as well as solely taking product prototypes to market adoption. In recent years, Jon has led all phases of engineering for MyFlexLearning developing both the web and mobile based products.
Ellen joins the MyFlexLearning team with over 10 years of SIS scheduling experience and 6 years of classroom experience as a high school math teacher. She holds a BS in Mathematics from Bridgewater State University and an M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction from Fitchburg State University. She is a proud mother of a 5 year old son and currently lives on the South Shore of Massachusetts. Ellen loves to travel and in her spare time you can find her planning her next trip, on an outside ‘adventure’ with her son, hanging with family and friends, or serving as den leader for her son’s cub scout troop.
